- JAWS 7.10 Public Beta
Hi Darrell. I started to leave a voice comment on your comment line but my phone needs to be charged, so here is my written comment. First off, congrats to you and Karen! I hope the wedding goes well and I’m sure it will. I have a sister who just got married in May of last year. My new brother-in-law is a very nice guy. He is in the military. Both of them are fully sighted.
Now to my comments about the public beta of JAWS 7.1. I downloaded and installed it with no problems the day after it was released. Speech was provided throughout the install. I did experience one minor problem but it ended up resolving itself somehow or another. When I first installed this beta, I could not find the setting in Config Manager to control Eloquence punctuation. But now I have found it. One thing I particularly like about this public beta is the automatic updates feature. It will save us JAWS users so much time in my opinion. I can’t wait to try out this new feature when the final version of 7.1 is released. BTW, I went into the Dictionary Manager and changed the offending word that was present in various forms in emails on the Blind Cool Tech list. The only other speech I have on this computer is the Microsoft TTS engine and I really can’t stand it for too long.
