Welcome TWiT Listeners!

November 15, 2005 • Darrell Shandrow Hilliker

Huge welcome to everyone visiting Blind Access Journal after listening to me chat for a few minutes about accessibility on This Week in Tech with Leo Laporte live from the Portable Media Expo and Podcasting Conference. It was an incredible honor to be in the TWiT hotseat and the entire expo was fantastic!

Picture of Darrell live on the TWiT Hotseat! Huge thanks go to Allison of the NosillaCast for this picture and a few others you will see in the near future.

  1. Just listened to the latest TWiT and thought I’d come visit your blog. A very interesting interview you had with Leo. I look forward to reading your blog in the future and listening to the podcasts!

  2. Glad to learn about your blog and podcast. I’ll tune in.

I’ve got a little bit of vision in my right eye left, and I’m a Mac user. I’m looking at your site using Safari. Much of the text on your page is not black on a light background. For your intended audience, you might consider using colors that are high contrast.

  3. hey heard about you on twit. i work in higher education and referred your podcast to our access services department, will keep you updates with what happens, also let me know if you want help petitioning google.

I saw you as the podcast expo during TWiT. I never really thought about the plight of visually impared computer users. Keep up the good work and good luck getting google and apple to make the necessarry changes. Oh and I am gonna remove the captches requirement on my blog ;)

  5. Hanging with the TWiT’s! Not a bad way to get your blog noticed. I just found it myself thanks to Leo and the gang. Nicely done. I will be adding yours to my list of favorites and recommending it to the Access Technologist Higher Education Network [ATHEN] @
